A Brief History of Bible Bending has put together a slide show of the history of the church marquee. Beginning with ladies' needlepoint, church marquees thrived in the US where no state church means every religious idea must compete in the marketplace of souls. The medium has evolved into one of America's most visible forms of Bible bending.
